Course Reflection AE 481W / 482

CPEP Reflection

ABET Assessment

The Pennsylvania State University AE Senior Thesis  project gives students a chance to solve issues pertaining to a real world project. This project taught me the valuable skill of communication with other industry professionals to work through a problem. I felt the project was very rewarding, especially thre research portion, to further my education and test my knowledge. AE 481W/ 482 helped me to make industry connections and boost my confidence.

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a great way to publish my results for industry members and family to see. The constant updating of the website makes it easy for companies or friends to keep up with my progress. Additionally, the published format of the project makes it easy to express myself to prospective employees while still showing my technical skills.

The following survey was completed in accordance with the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET). This survey consists of ranking levels of how this senior project educated students on certain outcomes. Please see this survey by clicking

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Danielle Cashman. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
